The end has come

Earlier this week Ward Churchill was fired from his position at CU Boulder. For those of you who know me, you probably imagine my celebration. BUT to be honest with you.. although at first my heart skipped a beat, I then felt nothing. I mean really, what was the point of firing him? Because of what he said about 9/11? Because of plagiarism? Because he over fluffed his resume? If none of that was enough to fire him back then why is it now? Why do they care now?

These feelings and thoughts have concreted in my mind something I have been thinking for a while. I am over it. Over this. I am tired of seeing the same things in the news over and over again. I am tired of the games, political and otherwise. My party has lost their ever loving minds and I can no longer get up the strength to defend them. For goodness sakes I am thinking the next Presidential candidate I vote for may be a dem! WHO AM I???? I am still me. I still think abortion is wrong, and I still think it is ok to say God. I am just starting to see that it is not so black and white. So because of that this is my last entry. Some of you are breathing a sigh of relief, and thats ok. I think I am too.

Thank you to RightSideRadio for the opportunity. Thank you so much to Chris, and good luck with your political aspirations. I am always here for you. I have gained so much from this blog and the one before. I have gained knowledge of whats important and I have gained friends. My friends from this "world" have meant so much to me. We have gone through many things and many fights. Thank you for being a part of this. I have really slacked off as of late and most of you will never read this but thank you. As I did not win an Oscar I guess I should end my dramatics now. So long!

I am like so confused

So as I found myself home alone on Saturday night I decided to make it movie night. Now this particular movie night consisted of me, three dogs, and one movie(this story just keeps getting more and more pathetic, but wait it gets worse) So I watched a cartoon called Ice Age, The Meltdown. I love almost all animated movies, from the old school Disney types to the newer cooler types. Nothing better than Pete's Dragon and Finding Nemo... SOOOO Anyhow.. After I finished watching the movie I thought to myself, "Self, you have a very innocent and impressionable mind, is it true that Global Warming is going to kill all the talking mammoths?" I woke up yesterday vowing to becoming a greener person.. I would no longer drive anywhere, hitchhiking only. I will cut my electric bills in half by the end of the summer. I will buy a goat to eat my grass instead of using my gas powered mower. I will become a granola!! (only I will shave and shower daily)

Then I wake up this morning and find out the "father of climatology" says people are not the cause of global warming.. Wait I don't get it. Its like when my mind almost exploded over coffee, its good for you, it will kill you, its good for you, it will kill you. STOP THE INSANITY!! So I then went back in my head to movie night... and wait a minute, there were no people in that movie..Its true, the ice age was ending and my car wasn't there to help. I don't have to hitchhike, and face the threat of rape and murder after all. I don't have to make room for the goat on movie night! Thank God for my sharp mind and ability to read opposing articles.. I mean just think where I would be had my innocent and impressionable mind continued for years believing I was going to kill the talking mammoths? Movie pick for next Saturday: The Day After Tomorrow

Don't try and argue

Wow... a month, very very sad. A few weeks ago my friend said she is dating a liberal and she herself is a republican. She is a republican because that is how her family votes. She said she is tired of hearing his liberal nonsense and wanted some ammo. I had so much to give her yet the first thing that came out of my mouth was "whatever you do, don't try and defend President Bush". GASP.... I cringe at the thought. It is true however, that is a fight that is hard to win. Don't get me wrong, he is still the President of our United States and respect him I will, but sometimes you have to just take a step back.

Perhaps that is why I haven't had the motivation to write for a while. I feel like D.C is in a game of musical chairs. The music starts everyone runs like a chicken with its head cut off, then the music stops and someone is out on their arss.

So I stand tried and true to my beliefs on morals and values, and behind the conservative party fundamentally, for this I cannot budge. But I feel as though I have been broke by the world and need to rebuild. It is all just a joke no clear cut answer no clear cut truth. If there was who would we get it from, some newspaper who has its own agenda? Broken

What do you say?

I have been listening and watching as news unfolds about the events at VA Tech on Monday. Seems like we have seen so much of this lately, yet it still has the same effect. The same effect on individuals, the same effect on the media, the same effect on politicians. We like to toss blame around, but so many forget the one individual who was responsible. More importantly we like to toss blame around, but so many forget the many who died.

My thoughts and prayers are with those who lost friends and families, my thoughts and prayers are also with those who are now reliving events from the past.

I pod you pod

First before I start my entry I would like to say Imus has apologized for his nappy headed ho's remark. I would like to publicly state that I accept his apology.

Many of our schools are suffering. They are suffering because although many of them have computers for every child, many years have gone with not enough text books. Not enough teachers. Not enough resources. I was lucky because I had teachers and text books.

I however lived as a deprived adult. Sure I have a home, a car, food on the table etc., a job, an education. To you those may seem like all I need, you are an idiot. I am almost 31 years old and nearly hit bottom because I was missing one thing in my life. You ask why, what is keeping me from this one thing? Money. Sure it doesn't seem like a lot of money but I should be on a budget and it is a little more than budgeted for non necessary items.

Those two words are where I had it all wrong. NON NECESSARY. I know now, almost too late, that it is a necessity. One of utmost importance. The IPOD. Don't have one? Go get one!

Now before I continue, let me say this little gadget is like the coolest thing EVER.. I can now catch my favorite podcast, Galacticast anytime. Not to mention downloading audio books, tv shows, movies, music etc..
REWIND...

Don't have one? Go get one! Can't afford one for your bratty child? Have no fear, the Democrats are here! Michigan Democrats have proposed a bill to give every Michigan child an IPOD.. This will obviously come before making sure every Michigan child has food on his plate, and before every nappy headed blond white trash woman gets Quest cards to pay for a new manicure. This is what is necessary to keep children out of trouble, while their nappy headed blond white trash mothers are busy blowing some guy for more crack. This will save our children. Its brilliant really. Just think about what your generation missed out on. I think my generation would have produced less criminals, drop outs, druggies etc. if we had only been provided with Game Boys for instance.

Republicans listen up, stand behind the Democrats on this one. We as a society need it. Let us give so that there is no need to work and earn, no need to steal. AMEN

Broken Record

Is it just me or does it seem like we just keep going through the same things over and over again in the political/government ring? To subpoena or not to subpoena, to fire or not to fire, to retreat or not to retreat. I'm getting bored. Yes they are all serious issues. I am not trying to minimize them.

We sadly have British soldiers being held captive. Are we going to do anything about it? No, we will just hear about it in the news a few times. Why won't we do anything? Because someone somewhere is too scared to do it. They will be rescued yes, I believe that. Just not soon enough. Because we choose not to take a stand right away in a few months this story will become repetitive as well.

Here is a new headline for us,"A suspect being held in Guantanamo claims torture" Even they can't come up with new stories.

When are we going to just fix these things? Take actions and stop talking about it.. Maybe then we wouldn't have to question whether someone should be subpoenaed or not.

Ok.

So a few people have questioned my latest couple entries. One Anna Nicole's death and Two apologizing for slavery. I guess I can't blame them for their raised eyebrows, but I cannot apologize for these entries. I do feel them both valid, and regret only the fact that there were not more entries surrounding them. I am a bit ashamed that my last entries have been so scarce, therefore making those entries so weak

Ok moving on to more recent events. Leb mentioned someone by the name of Scooter Libby. Never heard of the guy but I assume by his name he was from the Lil Rascals... Really though I don't know what to say about that situation. I can't even tell you if I think he will get a pardon. I think the whole situation was sad and think a Left wing conspiracy should be addressed.

I have seen red over the hospital conditions at Walter Reed. As a former Army brat I was in military hospitals quite a bit. They were never the funnest or nicest but really when are hospitals? The conditions we have seen at Walter Reed however are beyond horrifying. I hope all those in an uproar over how those at Abu Ghraib were treated are a trillion times over outraged over this. What a disgrace for our Country.

The last topic leads me to something I saw on tv last night. I am usually not a fan of 60 minutes, but I flipped over just in time to see Andy Rooney speak. The more he said the more I cringed. It was awful!! I just can't help but feel sorry for the old guy. In a nut shell he called our troops losers. Ouch. He said we have lowered our standards for recruiting purposes and that it is an embarrassment. Oh Andy.... I just wonder will he take as much heat as Ann Coulter has taken over her fag comment, or take as little heat as Bill Maher's comments on how sad he was Dick Cheney wasn't killed. Interesting what makes big news and what makes not quite as much. Examples Libby's conviction vs. Anna Nicole, Coulter vs. Maher etc.. Oh and incase you haven't heard Angelina just pulled further ahead in the Hollywood adoption race. Thanks Media

I guess my head is spinning as I realize more and more that the media is what rules the world. Therefore I have come to the conclusion that the Jews really are behind 9/11.

No really get over it

The General Assembly voted this weekend to express "profound regret" for the state's participation in slavery. Slavery ended in the US in 1865. If my calculations are correct that means there is not ONE person alive today that participated in slavery in the US.

Was slavery right? Absolutely not. I will not apologize for something that I had no part of.

Do I think we as America should forget slavery ever existed? Absolutely not. It is a part of our history. A part of our history we have learned from and grown from.

I find it appalling that we feel we need to apologize for something that happened well over a 100 years ago. What more do Americans need to do to pay for slavery? And while we are talking about Americans.. Are African Americans also apologetic that slavery happened as Americans, or is it just the mean white people that should be sorry? Oh and when is Africa going to apologize for giving their citizens up for slavery?

Candle in the Wind

Was she a candle in the wind? Perhaps not to some, not to me. More importantly I believe she was to someone. Really this is just a vent.

The jokes were all over the place yesterday over the death of Anna Nicole Smith. I heard a dj ask if Elton John would once again revamp his song Candle in the Wind over this passing. Worse I heard someone during the prep for the news conferance outside the hospital say "Anna Nicole, Anna Nicole, making a living off of Anna Nicole". I don't know who that guy was, but if his statement was one ounce true, perhaps his little dittie will be his closing song as well.

Now don't get me wrong Anna was not an idol of mine. She was a mess, no doubt. She was also a tragedy. She came from nothing to being famous or infamous.. not sure which one. She was a top model. For many of us that is not a goal in our lives but for others a dream come true. For me Anna was someone I cheered for. I really hoped the best. She had so much potential and then it was gone, then you would see a ray of light, then a thunderstorm, a ray of light, then a hurricane.

Her life and death were a tragedy but by no means a joke.

Audio from Nintendo Death

You have probably all heard about the young lady who was killed from over consumption of water. It was a radio contest to win a Nintendo Wii for her kids. Unfortunately she didn't win and died.

Who is responsible for her death? The DJs have been fired and will face involuntary manslaughter charges. Obviously they should be held responsible but, I hate to say but how did this girl do this. When you listen to the audio, found at sacbee, they all laugh about the risk of death. Im sorry but she knew the risk we can't blame the radio 100%. Perhaps she shouldn't have taken the consolation prize, which she obviously couldn't use. Lets see Timberlake or Nintendo. Guess she learned her lesson to late.

California health plan? Love it

When I first heard of Schwarzenegger's health care idea, I thought the world really was going to pieces.

Honestly, to tax doctors and hospitals for the care? Are you kidding me? I feel like the republican party is loosing its mind. It is a left wing conspiracy to the end. I am pretty sure that if scooby doo was put on the case he would rip the facial masks off of the likes of Schwarzenegger, McCain, and Foley and show their true liberal faces.

Sorry, got a little off track there. So I was a bit put off by the health care to all, UNTIL... I read that the health care would be extended to the ILLEGAL children of California as well. Perfect.. picture it California gives health care to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT children. This sounds like an incentive to ILLEGALS to me. Therefore, most ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS will make way to California, leaving Texas, Colorado, Arizona, etc behind. Are you following me?

Hmm of course realistically ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and those who can not afford health care are receiving free health care already from their states, so things will probably just continue the way they are. I guess we can just count on their uneducated minds not realizing that. Of course they are being educated by us, so probably not. Ah well back to the drawing board..

Reached back like a pimp and smacked the ...

I have long thought that Cindy SheeHAM has long sight of her fight and now talks to hear herself talk. She is the product of many pimps, and has gone from grieving mother to media whore. Her many pimps are going to have to get a tighter leash on their gal. You have seen it in the movies, the prostitute decides she can do better without her pimp and things get bad, real bad.

SheeHam as well as some other protesters actually shut down a press conference held by the Democrats this week. Her protests seem to be getting more and more disruptive, and not in a good protest sort of way.

Is the SheeHam sad reign almost over? Will those who created her destroy her? With Pelosi in place will she stand for SheeHams disrespect??? The saga continues....

Now to 30

Saddam is set to be executed within 30 days. Some how I feel no satisfaction in this. I suppose it really isn't about my satisfaction. So I wonder how everyone else feels about this. To me it seems like a really abrupt ending to years of torture from a man.

What does it mean for the Evil man to be taken down?

Too stupid to get a real job? Join the Army

The army changed its slogan a short time ago. Some people seem to disagree with the change. Those in the spotlight that aren't too busy adopting money makers, think the slogan should be "Are you a loser, are you desperate? Join the Army".

John Kerry said it a month or so ago,and now others such as Matt Damon are agreeing. Mr. Damon goes so far as to say a volunteer Army is unfair. Hhhmm. Yes those men and woman who join the military are evidently complete idiots with no choice but to join. True? Maybe for a percentage, of course instead of risking their lives for the Country they could go work someplace a little safer. How about those who don't know what they want to do and join up? Well thats ok too, at least they aren't busy sitting on welfare while they are deciding, meanwhile protecting our Country. How about those who join for the education? Well thats alright, at least they are protecting our Country. How about those who join to protect our Country? Well that will do as well.

My father joined the military to have money to support his family. Could he have done something else to do so, of course. He chose however to work for his Country while supporting us.

Two friends of Blogitright, serve our Country through the Military. One for the education, One to simply do his part. Does this make them any different from each other? Not really, they both serve and protect.

Lets think about this for a moment. What percentage of people are in a job or career because its the one they want to be in? Not too big of one. Does that mean they do less of a job, or give less credit to that profession? Absolutely not.

How dare people discredit those who serve us. Get rid of our volunteer Army? Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Should we talk now about the validity of those who hold political office or make movies?

You've made your father proud son

I am pretty speechless over this one. It seems this kid may have seen too many Primetime specials or maybe he just had a runny nose. Either way we better get him counseling, he may never be able to trust a woman again in his life. For the record have we investigated the teacher yet? Surely, she should be sent to jail for her part.

Distortion in the media?

The mother of a poor helpless innocent child committed the ultimate holiday sin. Like probably all of us the innocent tike couldn't wait until Christmas to open a toy grandma had bought him for Christmas. His scrooge of a mother decided to call the 5 0 on little Billy, and has now destroyed Christmas cheer for all.

Oh wait that's not the way the story goes, just the way the headlines make it sound. Gotta love the media.

Tip of the day

TIp of the day: Unless doctor recommended do not fly Brittish Airways at the moment. Are you as baffled by this as I am? What is going on? If the planes were poisoned, wouldn't we have some mass illness, not just mass hype. I don't know, to be safe I think I will avoid my weekly stop to both Russia and Britain. But that is just me.

Now I am offended

FOR THE RECORD Its on the news so it must be news. Last night I heard a clip from the all powerful View with head idiot Rosie O'. Evidently pics are a flying of the 3 stooges Britney, Paris, and Lindsay in which Britney is getting out of a car and is not wearing any panties.(Is this what I have become?) Rosie is disgusted by this and pleas for Victoria's Secret to furnish these ladies with some undies. She rants about how she doesn't want to see what they are showing and I said WHAT??? This is an obvious heterophobic comment. If these chicks were ugly, butch or gay would she care if they were showing the goodies? I don't think so. These heterophobic comments are frightening. This intolerance has got to stop!

I was a naughty girl

When I was in elementary school, I was picking on a few kids. I am pretty sure I was justified, the girls had hairy legs and arm pits, thinkin' they must have been hippies or something. Anyhow I would threaten all sorts of mean things against the smelly girls. The teacher called my mom and it was all over for me.

The worst feeling in the world is going home knowing you are in trouble, at least for most children. I, however was and still am as cute as a button. If my adorable smile could charm my way out of trouble, my vass reasoning skill surely would. Alas, my slick skills had evidentaly weakened. After a stern talking to my mother informed me she was taking away all of my favorite things; black and white tv, my little ponies, and my ice skates. When I learned how to be nice, I could slowly earn the items back. I'll show her who is boss, and so I never played with my ponies, watched black and white tv, or skated again to this very day.

Full of Laughs

I hope everyone had a splendid weekend! With all the talk of the "Kramer" incident I thought I better chime in. In researching my entry I came across a couple of interesting links. Evidently I missed what the real issue was to begin with. The real issue is he did his set on Fridays, the nonracist day at the Laugh Factory. Silly Kramer... if he wants to be a naughty white boy he will need to talk to the theme schedulers at the club.

What offends me at comedy clubs, comedians who look in the audience and make cracker remarks. Do I agree with his remarks? No I don't, but I don't think racist white folk talk under the guise of comedy is very funny either. What do I do when I am someplace and don't appreciate the service, I leave. Just as those who left Richards' show did. Ask for a refund? Perhaps. Sue? Not likely, but then heck with all the money I'd make going to the press who would need to sue. I guess us white folk are just not so bright..

Glenn Beck

A coworker often gushes about Glenn Beck, she watches his show regularly, and urges me to do the same. I never did. Yesterday while we were eating lunch she insisted that I watch his show last night. His show last night was titled Exposed: The Extremist Agenda. It sounded interesting and although I am not a big CNN fan, I figured I would check it out(after all Lost is on hiatus), and so I did.

When the show ended I was scared. Not because I had watched CNN but because of what the special showed me. I went to bed not just scared but full of hate and surprise. We saw children speaking out against Jews, Christians and general American life. They didn't just preach hate, but you could actually see their little eyes light up when they spoke out. These children know what they want to be when they grow up. American killers. They believe they will not have life until they kill us. The children, according to the show do not just learn this in their country some radical Muslim schools in the US teach this as well. Guess what folks, these kids don't have to grow up to be what they want, they can do it right now.

The show was not just about the children but also the adults. Of course we know about the adults and are now so surprised at their feelings. When I turned the tv off something in my brain turned back on, this group of extremists want us destroyed. We are so busy over here defending them feeling sorry for them. Why? We will not kill them with kindness, they will kill us with our kindness. It is time we wake up and realize that 9/11 was not a game. This isn't over and will be far from over if we give up our fight.
I was impressed with the show last night, and decided to tune in to Beck's radio show. I realized that although the content of last nights show was a necessity, and very informative, it was the content not the host that did it for me. Listening to the show this morning sadly I was not impressed with Mr. Beck, and besides he is no where near as sexy as Chris McHottie, I mean McDaniels at RightSide Radio.. My point being, I will not be convinced that this was right side propaganda and Beck fans will be persuaded to believe what he says. I am not a fan of the Glenn Beck show. I am a fan of the USA. Its time America stops (excuse the phrase) pussyfooting around peoples feelings and take care of business.

Sad Songs

I once was in love. I would hear his voice and all other noise would stop. This love of mine, like many other men I have loved, broke my heart. This mans name, Elton. Elton John. I don't remember when it was that I found out I was not his type nor would I ever be. Probably somewhere around 12 or so. My love loved men. Ouch. Thats ok though, I remained not bitter. I could continue to love Eltons music, and not be ashamed.

Elton went on breaking my heart. He married a man. Now, truth be told, and psychotic behavior revealed, I would have been ticked off it would have been a woman as well. However, it was a man and that saddened me. I continued to love him, it seemed my love was unconditional.

The sun has now gone down on me. I have now realized what I have tried to deny for so long Elton John is not a good man. He, a man that believes in freedom and rights, now thinks all religion should be banned. Why should it be banned, because it doesn't agree with his lifestyle. Again showing open mindedness is a made up belief that liberals have. Well Elton, I am through with you. I guess that is why they call it the blues. I must now sacrifice and put Elton and his music away, I will no longer be his tiny dancer. This train don't stop there anymore, and yes, the bitch is back.

Journalism

Can someone please explain to me the job of a journalist, as well as what constitutes a news source (newspaper, tv news, etc.)?

November 08, 2006

Shocked

I am shocked and dismayed at the news from yesterday, election day 2006. I couldn't keep my eyes off the news. The reactions were horrid. Parties were split, and comebacks were announced. What is the world coming to??

Ok so the evil Dems have not too surprisingly taken over. My thoughts? Thats ok. Really, it was bound to happen and better now then for 2008. Republicans need to take this time now to think about how naughty we have been. We need to get back on track pull through and win the big enchilada, when it comes time to vote for President. We need to finish business in the Middle East, destroy North Korea and get back to business. Let the Dems pick up their slack, they will show the Country they are not the answer. Lets face it America was getting tired of us, now let them get tired of the Dems. Its all good.

Oh My

Election time is upon us, and that is always a time of love, hate, desperation, stupidity and more stupidity, etc. I cannot wait for next Wed. Of course the big issue this week is John Kerry's shoe size. Get your mind out of the gutter.. A man who based much of his Presidential campaign on military service, has done what many politicians do this time of year, put his foot in his mouth. I must admit I do believe that Kerry meant something else with his stupid "stupidity" comment, however its not what he said. In reaction to what he said, our military is made up of many different people. Some with GED's, some with diploma's some with degrees. Many people including friends of blogitright, join the military specifically for the education they receive. One fact remains. Our men and woman fight for our country.

Kerry's little jab at our President back fired, sucks to be him. How long have you been in politics? Don't you know you can't kiss babies if you have a foot stuck in your mouth? Did he need to say this for us to know he was an idiot? Not so much..

Remember the days

I remember a time when Michael J. Fox slept with a picture of Ronald Reagan next to his bed. There was a time when he was a Republican icon. Of course he was acting, playing a part, the part. Alex P. Keaton, the original McDreamy. He was acting then, and according to some was again in a recent democrats campaign ad, aired during the World Series. OUCH...

So was Michael J. Fox exaggerating the effects of his Parkinson's Disease, had he skipped his meds the morning the ad was shot, or is the lack of stem cell research causing his disease to worsen? Pretty harsh. Pretty sad. Although I would hate to hear his illness is getting worse, I would also hate to hear such an underhanded crock of drama was aired.

Guess we need to remember that when actors speak on an issues, they are actors, don't be surprised by the act they may put on.

How much does NY pay for ILLEAGALS

While I was reading about a FAIR summit in my former hometown of Sierra Vista Arizona, another headline grabbed my eye. "Costs of Illegal Immigration to New Yorkers", screams the headline. How much are New Yorkers forking out for ILLEGAL Immigrants? 4.5 BIllion Dollars a year!

Do you know how many African babies can be adopted for that money, heck we could all have one. Seriously though, are you sick yet of paying for other people to break the law? I sure am. Enough is enough with the ILLEGAL immigrant debate. Pack em up and send them home. If you haven't checked out FairUS yet you should. Find out how much your state pays for these people.

Radio Show

Hey all just wanted to remind you to tune in to TheRightSide Radio Show 5pm to 7pm CST

Most likely to ???

When I was 15 I moved to Arizona right before the school year began. I met many new friends at a youth group I started attending through the church. one of the girls I befriended was pregnant. I really enjoyed hanging out with her and asked my parents one night if she could spend the night. Their answer NO, they didn't think it was such a good idea. At the time I didn't understand why, but as time went on I grew to understand. A year and another school later, a girl I had known for quite a while was also pregnant. Neither of these girls was sent away from their schools and neither seemed to have to change their school habits. Their pregnancies were not celebrated by the school but they were also not shunned.

A few weeks ago while vacationing on the white sand beaches of Wichita Kansas, I came across a tolerable radio station. The dj's were discussing something that caught my ear. A woman in a nearby town was putting up a fight over her childs yearbook. She was very irate that in the highschool yearbook there was a 2 page spread featuring 2 pregnant students. It had pics of their bellies, their babies, and sonograms.

Should these girls have been feature stories in their yearbook? UH no.. Are you kidding.. This has 1. nothing to do with school and 2. is not something that should be promoted. The mother who started the anti yearbook fight called into the show, oh did it hit the fan. She couldn't understand why kids like hers who were in extra curricular activities were hidden in the back but these girls were proudly out in front. Good question. She brought up a few other issues she had as well. Another feature story was on piercings and tattoos.

Do piercings and tattoos have a place in a feature story in a year book, eh probably not so much although these penetration stories aren't quite as bad as the other. (sorry) What was bad was the kids they quoted in this feature. One said his father told him he couldn't have a tattoo, but he got one anyway and now his dad can't do anything about it. Another kid said in regards to piercings that they are too expensive to have done by professionals and that kids that want them should do them themselves! Holy crap..

What happened to the days of Most Likely to Succeed, Best Hair, etc.? We now have Most likely to get knocked up, Most likely to get HIV from a hand me down piercing needle? We now hide our athletic, outgoing, intelligent kids in the back so that we make sure the knocked up chick doesn't feel left out?? What is going on in our schools?

Foley not a Pedophile

Former Rep. Mark Foley is under fire for sexually charged emails and im's he sent to under the age of 18 boys. This people does not make him a sicko pedophile. SO what he invited a kid to party at his house. SO what he had internet sex with kids. SO what he told kids he missed them, wanted pics of them and asked for kisses. Does that mean he has a problem with pedophilia? His lawyer says no, he says no. His lawyer says he is gay and was molested as a child, therefore no harm done.

Give the guy a break he wasn't on any Primetime internet sex busts. A few emails never hurt anyone. Right?

Today Cassidy Grigg is still a hero to me

Many may remember after the Columbine shooting, Katie Couric's interview with one of the victim's parents as well as a classmate became a sort of familiar interview, often aired during anniversaries and such. This week Colorado became victim of another school shooting. Naturally some awaited the first interview from a Platte Canyon Student. Cassidy Grigg became that student. He was on all the news shows yesterday, along with his parents talking about his feelings on what happened, how he was dealing with the loss of a good friend, and how he dealt with the shooter taking over his classroom. According to Cassidy he told the shooter he wouldn't leave the room, was forced to by gun, but was able to stop another girl from going in the classroom. One thing struck me as odd during this interview. The mother said she was immediately concerned over her middle school age daughter, feeling she was in danger. She then stated that after praying for her safety she had a strong feeling it was not her daughter that was in danger but her son, she just knew this guy was in her son Cassidy's classroom. OK HOLD UP.. Why was she not immediately worried about her sons safety? The shooter was in the high school not the middle school. AND CONTINUE Meredith Viera ended the interview telling Cassidy he was a hero.

I then listened to the radio, the dj's were criticizing Cassidy for becoming a media whore. I must say it didn't seem odd to me this kid was on all the shows. He is a high school kid, who maybe isn't getting attention. I mean his mom was worried first about a child who wasn't a student at the school. (can someone clear up, maybe she was at the highschool for some reason) The media vultures found him, gave him his moment of fame.

Cut to today. I began my morning ritual by turning on The Today Show. My draw dropped when the anchors stated they have learned Cassidy was not in the classroom, and had made the story up. Someone said he was distraught and made up everything based on what he wishes he could have done to save his friend Emily. They then showed Cassidy apologizing for lying and hoping he could be forgiven. Meredith said she felt bad for Cassidy, Matt Lauer said in a way he feels bad but it another he feels it is DISPICABLE...

Despicable? Are we really going to come down on this boy? YOU are the MEDIA, YOU are supposed to check out the stories. YOU are despicable. How dare YOU blame this kid. Yes he lied, yes he has been called out on it, but YOU the MEDIA, are at fault. How dare YOU make such issue about it, and not say WE should have checked in to the story. The face of Cassidy was the face of this tragedy, made by YOU the media. Today you toss him aside and make him trash. Can someone tell me aside from the media issue, how it is the parents didn't know what his class schedule was? Parents should know where their kids are, whether they are at school or not, so perhaps that is despicable. Where was the teacher at? Where is the teacher now? I want to know that the teacher was not the first out the door, that would be despicable. What is the most despicable? The fact that this man came into a school, entered a classroom and shot a child. That is the most despicable. So what Cassidy wasn't in the classroom? You created him and you have now destroyed him. Yesterday he was a hero to you, today he is a hero to me.

Don't ya think

Alanis Morissette may have lyrics to a followup to her hit song Ironic. (yes I know what irony is..) Recently the Pope speaks of Muslims and evil when quoting an emperor from the 14th century. What do the Muslims do in protest? Riot, kill a nun, oh just your usual non-evil things.. Isn't it ironic, don't ya think?

Mexican President Vincente Fox recently made comments about the high crime rate in the US. Of course it has nothing to do with all the ILLEGAL Mexican immigrants in our country. Just a few days before in Colorado a woman's body was found mangled after being drug down a road, the man behind the wheel, an ILLEGAL Mexican immigrant.. How about sex crimes in the US? According to World Net Daily a recent study shows there are "about 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the US""the highest number of sex offenders came from Mexico". Hmmmm Isn't it ironic, don't ya think?

Clinton a bully?

Gosh there is just so much I would like to take about today.. but lets start with our friend Billy Clinton aka former President Clinton. Most of you have probably already seen the video clip from Clinton's interview with Fox News Sunday night. I think I could actually hear the tiny cheers of the left when I stepped outside. How very sad and pathetic..

First of all we are nearing November, of course the oh so picked on Clinton is going to rebel against the Fair and Balanced news show, to rally the sheep. Then in what brought me back to fights with my mother as a teenager, he with much moxie, makes reference to the reporters "smirk". You know that's just not nice.. it was evident to most that this guy is simply stuck with a permagrin from recent botox injections.. way to pick on the misfortunate Billy.

I am also confused as to a few of the other statements that came out of former President Clintons mouth. Ok he "tried and failed to catch Bin Ladin", and if he were still President he would have more than "20,000 troops to try and kill him". Is this coming from a man whose entire party is against us having troops over seas? Oh but if you read the book by Richard Clark you will know all the answers to all your questions regarding Clintons part or the lack of part in our fight against terror. Way to throw the plug in buddy.. The dems failed admit it.

So basically I must say I am no much impressed by Clintons interview, didn't really think it was the end of the world. What did the viewers expect? A sloppy kiss at the end of the interview. Its election time people RELAX.. This isn't the first time we have seen a rally cry (and by cry I mean cry like a baby tempertantrum) like this and it won't be the last.

Tragedy in Montreal

I remember watching the Columbine tragedy unfold. I was at work watching on tv. My bosses stood next to me and I remember having to walk out of the room to gain my composure, the tears wouldn't stop. I had no immediate connection to Columbine, but I felt such pain. I think as much as there was no immediate connection everyone felt some kind of connection.
Since Columbine we have seen, I would say at least one copycat tragedy a year around the states. Last week Canada had their own copy cat. A man went into a Montreal College and began shooting students. I wanted to write an entry but just didn't know what to say accept for I am sorry, which doesn't seem good enough. I would like to share an entry with you however from Canada. Please visit Jorge's space and read more on what happened. Some of you have actually gone through this before and your feelings and views on the situation would be greatly appreciated there.

Women with cojones??

Or just no brains.. I had to giggle a bit when I read the MSNBC.com headline The ‘crossed legs’ strike
Wives of Colombia gang members call sex strike against crime
. Yup tis true, a group of wives and girlfriends, according to the article, of Columbian Gangsta's have banned together to protest the criminal activities of their men. No sex for you! Wow... good luck to ya sister. I wonder if these nice young men give a crap if their chicks say no?? What do you think? Perhaps these ladies are future guests of the psycho womens radio network talked about here earlier today.

Men vs Women

A new study shows men are more intelligent than women. In related news, women from this study have now formed their own talk show.

Tivo a must

My friend called me on Monday or Tuesday in disbelief. While getting ready for work she caught a bit of The View, with bridesmaid and honored guest Rosie O'. I have been searching the net trying to find what exactly caused her disgust. I am a bit confused why I have yet to find anything aside from a few blogs talking about Rosie and her odd home remedy suggestion. Perhaps it would help if I tell you what happened.

Evidently the girls and it, were talking about Brad Pitts diaper rash dilemma. Well Brad's baby's diaper rash dilemma. Rosie shared with the world that she has used on all of her adopted children a must try remedy. Got your pen and paper? You will want to take notes. Take your cranky red butted baby and turn a puppies tongue loose on his behind. Yes, Rosie allows a dog to lick her babies butt. Am I the only one that thinks this chick has more than one screw loose?? Very sick and disturbing... Anyone want to call CPS on this one?

Bush Assassination

No, this is not the title of Ron Jeremy's new flick, and yet it is much more tacky. Death of a President is a film debuted in Toronto(ah lovely US envious Canada). Big deal right? The movie features a US president being assassinated, isn't the first movie to do such a thing probably not the last. So what makes this flick so nauseating? The president they choose to assassinate is our current President, President Bush. Now children can't we play nice?? I would say someone is crossing a tiny line here. You can mark this film up as one I won't be seeing. In fact it shouldn't be played in the U.S. Freedom of Speech my arss.

It has given me an idea though.. I would like to make my own film. I will be hosting a casting call, and will request my dear production savvy friends over at Galacticast, to assist. (Yeah I know they will be busy watch the previously mentioned film). The plot... Brad and Angelina decide to forget their all powerful threat of not marrying until "every other couple who wishes to do so can", and arrange for Sean Penn to host their alduterous triggered wedding. Susan Sarandon and her hubby stand up in the wedding, and many famous Hollywood guests attend. Some even bring honored foreign guests, including Fidel Castro, and Vincente Fox. Saddam Hussein shows up with his new co-star of the View, Rosie O'Donnell.

Everyone is having a gay ole time, when the weight of such huge stars and political powers cause, what many have predicted to happen, California to break off from the rest of the Country and sink. Some will float to the top of the ocean, but alas, Sean Penn left his boat at home. They swim like crazy to reach the shore, but are all attacked and killed by stingrays. The End.

Remembering or Forgetting?

It goes without saying today is the 5th anniversary of 9/11. It goes without saying but we will say it anyway. Turn on the television and it is drowning in stories of survival and death. Today we all have taken time to remember. Does that mean that we have forgotten? I would like to share what I have not forgotten.

I have not forgotten the images of planes crashing. I have not forgotten the tears streaming from my eyes and others. I have not forgotten the lives lost. I have not forgotten the lines at the gas stations. I have not forgotten how for one day it seemed as though we all were friends who shared one goal. I have not forgotten the evil face of 9/11 that still remains at large. I have not forgotten those who have fought, still fight, or will fight for our freedom. I have not forgotten the harsh words that were exchanged with others, all over the same issue just different points of views. I have not forgotten the friends I have made out of these harsh words. I have not forgotten the lives that have been saved. I have not forgotten that Freedom is something we deserve to fight for even though we shouldn't have to. I have not forgotten that I love the U.S.

Always remember, never forget.

What to say?

This morning our dear friend Fred sent me a link he knew I would be interested in. He was right. The story seems like a sick sick plot someone made up. No way can it be true, right? Wrong.

There are soooo many things about this story that make it just wrong. 1. 11 year old girl gets sexually assaulted by 20 boys. 2. They say she wanted it 3. She had a crush on a 15 year old. 4. The 15 year old was also a girl 5. shall I continue???

This is just a very sad testament to what is going on in today's world. Kids aren't kids, these kids definitely weren't. Where are the parents? Hmm who know's, are they crying with disappointment and anger? Are they shooting up? Are they passed out drunk? Are they sleeping in sissies bed? Are they praying for their children and them selves?

The sick Hollywood type ending to this story is straight from the movie Kids. The 11 year old girl who was gang banged by 20 kids was born with HIV. Makes you want to puke doesn't it?

Fred asked what do we do? Lets start by making parents be parents, and kids be kids. How is society can a group of so many juveniles be involved in something like this? Values and morals were obviously not taught. If we can't teach these things is schools we better be damned sure people are teaching them at home.

Walk on the Wild Side

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday. Its now back to work for most of us. I know you all are wondering how my trip to Lib Land went, so I shall share.

Saturday morning we packed up our 2007 sunset orange with black racing stripes hemi powered Dodge Charger..and headed north to Boulder, Colorado. We met up with our friend at the Boulder Cafe before we hit our hotel. To get to the cafe you have to walk through a strip of shops and street vendors. We passed harey krishna's , medieval dressed people (not performers just weirdo's), some hippies etc, all in one block. We then downed about 4 well needed martini's each when we hit the cafe. So far so good. We then walked the rest of the strip, where we eyed some chalk sidewalk art stating we should "Set John Mark Karr Free".

We met back up with everyone at a pool hall/bar later that evening. We ended up having to take the party to the roof top because the band they had playing was hideous and very very loud. I expected more from a guitar playing granola from Boulder. We then moved the party to a bar we found under a hotel. It was ok and mostly catered to the college kids.

The next day we woke up and decided to try and eat some breakfast. We went back down the strip, knowing there were several different eateries to choose from. We could not find one place to get normal breakfast. Really I am not kidding, no bacon and eggs anywhere. We ended up back at the Boulder Cafe for some breakfast cuisine. We then did some shopping and got ready for the wedding.

The wedding was in a beautiful spot up in the mountains with a gorgeous view. The weather was much nicer than the freezing day before. The flower girls passed out "programs" to all the guests and yamakas to the male attendees, stating "we are s'posed to give these to the boys but I don't know why". The Jewish ceremony was beautiful. Although the Rabi could have taken off her Oakley's during the ceremony, but then her tevo's would have looked out of place. Only in Boulder. We then headed down the mountain to the reception. The reception was more of the Mexican traditions and was as equally nice and the wedding. The best part was when the best man(grooms brother) gave his toast. "We didn't get along as children, he was busy playing varsity football while I was doing choreography to Tina Turner songs or co-chairing the prom committee". Later on the DJ dedicated a song to the best man, Tina Turner of course. At that time everyone surrounded the dance floor while the bestman showed us his choreography from yesteryear.

After the reception was over we headed to a bar from the night before. We were still dressed in our wedding gear, and looked a bit out of place amongst the grunge wear. We had a really tough time getting served, which seemed a bit odd to us. We left after only one drink. Someone commented on how odd it was that we all had money ready to spend, were dressed like we had money to spend, yet the college kids were the only ones getting service. I then realized in Boulder these kids probably are carrying around twice the cash we are.

All in all it was a beautiful weekend. Boulder is a beautiful place. It has to be the most liberal city with the smallest amount of minorities. The people were not at all friendly I though only republicans were supposed to be pompous a-holes. Its like they could sense our conservatism. Maybe I should have left the I hate hippies and Liberals Suck t-shirts at home.

Didn't School Just Start?

Coincidentally I just received an email today where someone asks God where he was during the bazillion school shootings. God answers I am not allowed in schools. Now I don't really believe that these killers would have been stopped if they were allowed to talk about God in school, but we now have another to add to the list.

Thoughts?

Statement By White House Press Secretary Tony Snow
August 17, 2006

"Last week America and the world received a stark reminder that terrorists are still plotting to attack our country and kill innocent people. Today a federal judge in Michigan has ruled that the Terrorist Surveillance Program ordered by the President to detect and prevent terrorist attacks against the American people is unconstitutional and otherwise illegal. We couldn’t disagree more with this ruling, and the Justice Department will seek an immediate stay of the opinion and appeal. Until the Court has the opportunity to rule on a stay of the Court's ruling in a hearing now set for September 7, 2006, the parties have agreed that enforcement of the ruling will be stayed.

"United States intelligence officials have confirmed that the program has helped stop terrorist attacks and saved American lives. The program is carefully administered, and only targets international phone calls coming into or out of the United States where one of the parties on the call is a suspected Al Qaeda or affiliated terrorist. The whole point is to detect and prevent terrorist attacks before they can be carried out. That’s what the American people expect from their government, and it is the President’s most solemn duty to ensure their protection.

"The Terrorist Surveillance Program is firmly grounded in law and regularly reviewed to make sure steps are taken to protect civil liberties. The Terrorist Surveillance Program has proven to be one of our most critical and effective tools in the war against terrorism, and we look forward to demonstrating on appeal the validity of this vital program."

Don't be such a jew

By now you have all heard the story from this weekend on Mel Gibson.. It has plagued the news for the past few days. This morning I heard two news anchors discussing how it is the end of Gibson's career.

Lets go back a couple of days to the first we heard of this "episode". I believe the headlines went something like "Mel Gibson goes on Anti Semitic tirade". Really?? Holy bat mitzvah! I could only picture it in my head as being extremely crazy, Mel going up to some Jewish person and must have gone on about how all Jew's must die, and the Holocaust never happened or it deserved to happen. I could only imagine the worst really. Not that what he said was good, however it wasn't the Hollywood drama it is portrayed.

In the past few weeks a Democrat potential Presidential nominee, made a "slanderous" comment about a particular culture, that hardly made the news. No talk of his career being over. Of course that's politics not Hollywood, and we all know Hollywood is what runs the Country.(sarcasm folks).. Hollywood has long been anti-christian. Now days we are more shocked over pro-christian tones in Hollywood rather than the opposite.

So is what Mr. Gibson said really anti-semitic?? I hardly believe so, but often those who are able like to pin Christian whites with bigotry (mmmhhhmm Rush Limbaugh...) Should he have said the idiotic things he did, no, is he going to start committing "hate" crimes against Jewish people, I doubt it. Is his career over?? If Mad Max didn't end his career I doubt this will. Will Jewish people stop watching his films? Heck they are too cheap to buy movie tickets anyway!! (again sarcasm) Word of advise to Mel, don't bite the hand that feeds you, we all know who funds Hollywood.. Really though, don't be such Jews people LIghten up!! Can't we all just get along, we all know the Muslims are the ones we need to watch out for...

Armed

Monday night I attended a gun safety course. By recieving the gun safety training certificate I am now able to apply for a concealed weapons permit, should I choose to do so. Several things lead up to the decision to take this class, for which I would like to share....

At the age of 22 I began living without a roomate. I was a single woman living by myself. My first sole residence was a four-plex. I had two families living on either side of me, and thus felt fairly safe. I then bought a house. It was on the other side of town from where I grew up. Which really only means 20 minutes, but still an unfamiliar neighboorhood. I was now in my mind officially "living alone". I am a very independent person and so I enjoyed it and rarely was afraid. I was rarely afraid but not stupid, I needed some protection. A .38 special became my protector.

My father enjoyed hunting. When I was around 6 or 7, the son of my fathers hunting buddy and I had a bet on who would get a bb gun first. I think I won. Now before you get the wrong idea of my family we are not hillbilly's and only partially rednecks.. We didn't have dead animals hanging on our walls for decorations or anything like that. My father taught me about guns and growing up around them made me comfortable enough to feel safe purchasing one for myself.

So... a few years later I thankfullly have never had to use the weapon. I have had scares, the normal noises and such, but no real problems. Then this past New Years Eve I was walking to my car well after midnight, to take a friend home. A car pulled up blocking our driveway. A man got out of his vehicle and began walking towards us. As my boyfriend walked towards him I ran and got my gun. Just in case..

A few weeks ago we read about a class that was being offered for gun safety. Not only would we feel more comfortable around our guns but also if we chose to we could apply and obtain a concealed weapons permit. We signed up.

The weekend after we signed up we were supposed to meet a girlfriend for brunch and a day at the pool. She is a single girl. We have known her for a few year as an aquaintance and have recently been going out with her for drinks about once a week, and meeting at the pool on Sundays. She lives by herself and has always felt safe doing so.

Sunday morning we woke up ready to meet up with our friend hit brunch and the pool. Our phone rang and it was our friend calling to cancel our weekly date. She was just leaving the hospital.. Someone broke into her house the night before threw chemicals in her face and raped her. Our friend had experienced the ultimate violation. She had been talking the past months of getting a gun. If only she had.

Another Gay thing..

I am so stuck on this "gay" thing, I think I may be in the closet. Ok maybe not. I have not been able to shake this Oprah thing though.

I,as you know, am a female. I have had in my life several very close girlfriends. We do everything together, I have held hands with girls, I have shared beds with girls, I have even kissed girls.(don't let imaginations run wild, pecks only at probably the age of 6) I know guys who have close male friends, they do close male friend things. NO way have I ever questioned my friendships and wondered, golly gee I hope people don't think I am gay. First of all its normal bestfriend stuff, and second of all it doesn't matter. I do remember one time just a few years ago, I had been single for about 3 years. I invited a "girlfriend" to a birthday dinner at my parents house. My mother asked "is this a "good" friend". MOM!!! I'm single not gay..

Why are we once again being overloaded by Oprahs self absorbed, self righteous, big headed etc.. nonsense? A few questions.. 1. Who sits and wonders about Oprah's love life? 2. Who sits and wonders about Oprah and another woman's love life together? 3. Why on earth if we have to hear about gay lifestyles of the rich and famous, does it have to be about fat chicks(Rosie....) ?

July 18, 2006

Follow up

I have a follow up question for the previous entry. Lets say gays are born that way, are there also some that choose to be gay?

Cute and Harmless

I'm sure you all remember the controversy with cigarette ads marketing to children. It was every where. You turned on the tv and there was this cool animated camel Joe Camel, the kids loved him, tobacco folks loved him.

When you walked into convenience stores, next to abortion pills, they hand cancer sticks. No big deal really except they always seemed to be at the eye level of a 6 year old. People finally decided the big bad tobacco folks were starting to go to far. Marketing this harmful, potentially deadly sin to children is unacceptable, it was stopped

Cut to today.. I am watching tv when my favorite show cuts to a commercial break. There are two adorable puppies facing each other. One of the dogs is barking at the other. The camera pans to the cuter smaller of the puppies. I am at the edge of my seat. What will this puppy do? It moos. How cute is that? See puppies are supposed to bark and this little guy moos.. See the puppy was "born different"

The ad is one of a few ads running in my area. Yes, it is a cute harmless commercial, just like Joe was a cute harmless commercial. In the city of Colorado Springs, banners line the street. The banners are simple, they have a picture of a puppy and the simple words moo. Again, harmless right? Yeah sure if you don't mind the message they are trying to embed in your children.

I can't help but wonder why if we are angry enough about pushing harmful cigarettes on children, how are we allowing pushing homosexuality on kids?
