Martha Martha Martha

For those of you who skipped the Today Show this morning, you missed the fun. Evidently Ms. Couric didn't get any while away in Italy the past few weeks, and man did it show this morning.. Katie interviewed the Donald and his two adult children this morning. Although it was evident that the interview was meant to promote the Apprentice, which I believe starts this evening, Katie took a few shots at Mr. Trump. The gossip of late has been the feud between Martha and Donald. He is trying to save face after Martha's version of the Apprentice took a major nose dive while also using the feud to promote the new season. Katie however felt it her journalistic duty to rip Donald a new one for picking on Martha. Trust me Katie I think Martha can handle Donald, after all she's done time with all the other lovely ladies.. So why do I give a rats butt about this, well I was just wondering a couple things. 1. How is it ok for people to insult the President, but not ok to write Martha a nasty-gram? 2. I thought the Today Show was a news show, not a daily editorial piece, did I miss something?

Right to Life

Will South Dakota pave the way for other states by putting forth the most strict abortion law in the nation?? The abortion ban would allow abortions only in the case of medical harm to the mother. This all sounds great in theory, Unfortunately I think it will be all in vain unless followed by the rest of the U.S. What a sad world when doctors in California refuse to participate in the execution of a man accused "torturing, raping and murdering a 17-year-old girl 25 years ago", but we have to enact a ban to keep them from killing innocent people everywhere else.

Tancredo

The other day I was listing to The Right Side, and Chris was talking about Republicans in office that are really being Republicans(enter name here). He spoke of those names in the air we here running for President, and if they are "true" Republicans. He then through out some names of those who actually portray the Republican ways while in office. A name mentioned was Tom Tancredo.

Today at blogitright two comments were made in regards to this seaport debacle that also made me think of Tancredo. 1. Was from Pat, who is wondering if the Republican Party is leaving the true Republicans behind. 2. Was from Leb, who encourages to keep our eyes open for those office holding Republicans who speak out against the seaport issue at hand.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Tancredo is one of those to speak out. From Tancredo's thoughts on border security, I would venture to guess he is through the roof.

Don't make me disown you

Oh Mr. President, what are you doing to me?? When thinking of President Bush yesterday and today all I can imagine is a kid who keeps trying to please someone and ends up pissing off everyone else. He ultimately ends up the kid with no friends.

WHY on earth when we are working so hard to secure our borders would you allow an Arab owned firm to run some of our "major seaports"?? HELLO?? Am I missing something here? In todays time of major security issues where things as simple as families no longer able to great loved ones coming home at an airport terminal, are we going to allow this?

Come on President Bush get rid of what ever has possessed you and come back to us, we want the guy we voted for, not a looney escaped from some mental hospital.. You are supposed to be protecting us. Remember we are at war, not the best time to hand over our ports to any foreign company let alone an Arab Company. I am beginning to wonder if our President is on the side of America these days, I must ask you President Bush are you with us or against us?

Friday Fun

Ok, some say I am going through a midlife crisis. I say I am too young for that. I have long had a dream to do roller derby. Don't laugh!! So I have contacted a league in my area, and am looking into joining up. First things first, I need a name!!! Come on help me out..

Conservatives going green?

In the past couple months I have had the opportunity to listen to two republicans who are running for Governor of Colorado. The first candidate spoke of solving the oil issue by drilling for oil in Colorado, where oil is abundant. On the other side of the spectrum he also spoke of renewable energy and how we need to focus on its greatness. The second candidate also spoke of renewable energy. President Bush will be visiting Colorado and will be discussing renewable energy and has also promised funding for the NRE lab in Golden Colorado. Hmmmmm seems conservatives do care about the environment.

Gov. Schwarzenegger, evidently sick of sleeping on the couch, has gone one further in the environmental craze. He is expected to raise gas prices in an attempt to "lower greenhouse gasses". Gov. Schwarzenegger is not raising prices in expectation of people using less gas, however the opposite seems true. He will use the extra funds for funding of research for more green projects.

In reality Republicans aren't against keeping the environment healthy, but don't expect to see me in a hybrid any time soon.

Enjoy the show

Just wanted to remind everyone to listen to the radio show! There is a link to the show on the top right side of the site (the speaker). The show is great, and keeps me here which puts a smile on your face!!! Oh you know you love me. Listen to the show!!!!

Who needs ya anyway

Chicago doesn't want us, and well we don't want them either. The Republican National Committee said that Chicago was one of the cities they were considering for the 2008 Conference. Chicago said according to a CBS Chicago station, they weren't interested. Why would you want Chicago for the Conference?? The RNC needs to do better than that. We have a long road a head of us, thanks to our current administration, and trying to win over Chicago may not be the way to go. Come on guys start using your heads!!

American

This may come as a surprise to you, but I don't know President George Bush, never met him, probably never will. What I do know is that he is the leader of our United States. I am not a "blind" follower, I do however have faith in our administration. Why wouldn't I? I voted for him. There are certain things I disagree with President Bush about, things like cronyism to the extreme as well as immigration. I believe in this war we are in (yes I said we), if it was entered into during the last Presidents term, I would have supported it then as well. I am a Republican because I believe in the core moral values the party shares. I am a Republican because I don't believe in the core moral values the other party shares. Do I put President Bush on a pedestal, no. Do I look up to him and respect him as my President? Absofrickenlutely. I am proud of who I am as a person as a republican and mostly as an American.

Hypocrisy in Brief

I was trying to stay away from writing about the Muslim cartoon controversy. I figured who really cares? I then read an entry on our friend Hazeltons site. He spoke of the hypocrisy on the part of Christians being disgusted by the murderous protests. I commented on Hazes site the following: What happened to peaceful protest? There is no reason for all these people to be killed over this. For instance it has come out that Rolling Stone will be putting on its cover Kanye West posing as Jesus. An obvious bashing of the christian religion, the Will and Grace/Brit. Spears episode that also mocks the christian religion, the sitcom about the Preacher that portrayed Christians poorly. All those things Christians protested, they wrote letters, they made phone calls etc. The sitcom= Cancelled Will and Grace episode = rewritten Rollingstones= no results (can't win them all) The point is peaceful intelligent action was taken with results that did not include killing people.

Yesterday I came across another article about the ever so repulsive Kanye West. In this article Kanye claims he wants the Bible rewritten with him added as an African character. Are you kidding me? Again a major slap in the face of Christianity. I then picked up an Esquire magazine that was in my office. What wonderful timing. In the back of the book was a comic, the title of the comic: Jesus' Bar Mitzvah. The comic portrays a young Jesus at his celebrity filled Bar Mitzvah among other things turning water into wine and back again. Again this could be very much offensive to Christians and Jews a like. Will some complain about the comic? Probably? Will many people get killed over the comic? Probably not.

The only hypocrisy I see, is the Muslims constant claim of being a peaceful religion. Oh that and Kanye West whole being.

Classy

Well the speakers at Mrs. Kings Funeral learned a lot from the person they were celebrating. Class however was one thing they didn't learn from her.

People named Jack Offended

People named Jack have lived their lives always waiting for the next insult regarding their name. Its a cruel life they have been forced to lead, an apparent butt of a joke by their parents. Just when they thought that it couldn't get any worse, it has. Continental Press, publishes MSA Finish Line: Reading, a book used to help get kids ready for standardized tests. This book was handed out to kids going to school in the inner city. A worksheet from the book describes a magic trick. The magic card trick entails telling a story of 4 "jacks" that are robbers breaking into a house. This has caused at least one parent of a child named Jack to complain. Evidently upset by the worksheet misleading people into assuming that people named Jack are robbers. The worksheet also seems to teach children named Jack that they should be robbers.

This worksheet seemed to not only upset Jack and his mom, it also according to the AP, has at least one parent of a non-Jack upset as well.

In related news, robbers are now becoming upset that this also implies that all robbers are named Jack and they may also face the rude Jackoff comments.

How do you like them apples?

By now if you have any interest in the State of the Union address, if you didn't watch it you heard it all. I figured though I better give my quick review.

First of all I love to watch the people attending the address. Watching who stands, who doesn't, who claps, who doesn't, who picks their nose, who doesn't. Its usually pretty predictable, the dems are the ones picking their noses. I enjoy watching when the President enters and leaves the room. Who is in the aisle brown nosing, and will they be the first slinging mud when talking after the address?

I have to say there were two highlights as far as responses during this address. The first came when our President addressed the domestic spying issue. The cameras were on Clinton(yeah the chick one). It was classic as the President said he would not tolerate people in America talking with members of Al Qaeda, she just shook her head in utter disgust. It seems that if you are in America, according to the Dems, you should have the right to talk to whoever you want. Always worrying about the rights of the bad guys. Well all of them except the one lonely dem who stood up and applauded when the President urged the renewal of the Patriot Act.

The second came when President Bush set the dems up to be the joke. He touched on how his social security issue was struck down. The dems all stood up in applause, proud of striking it down. They were sure showing him. You could see the smile on his face, when he then stated how nothing has changed and the issue is just getting worse. Yup its a good thing you guys came up with a solution when you struck it down. How do you like them apples?

The President threw them a couple bones though. He announced we as Americans are addicted to oil.. (but it makes me feel so good!) Stating basically that we need to ween are selves from it and start using other products for fuel. He then talked about our workforce and American made products and how we need to rely more on Us. Issues that should make both sides happy.

The State of the Union address this year was quite pleasant, not too long, not too short, but just right. It looks like our President, is ready to start the fight for the people again. Truth be told I had been starting to worry.
