Bad Parents!!

The other day as my boyfriend and I were trying to get over some icky cold/sinus crud, I told him we needed some hot hard lemonade. You know the kind.. I remember being sick when I was younger and getting a ever so small teaspoon of some alcohol mixed in with hot lemonade. YUK!!!! That stuff was disgusting!!!! I am sure I would appreciate the taste more now.. ; )

Some of you may have seen Meet the Faulkers. The baby won't stop crying and it was suggested that alcohol be rubbed on his gums to soothe his pain. Ahh they start us off as alcoholics so young don't they?? The key here would be not trying to get your child drunk so that they pass out.

Sadly, some parents trying to keep their kid quiet got a little confused with the dosage and gave their baby a deadly cocktail. How dumb can you be?? Most parents wouldn't dream of giving their child even the slightest drop, and here you have someone filling a bottle full of vodka?? Perhaps, they had hit the bottle themselves first..?? What is wrong with people? When trying to get your child to pass out do not just pass the bottle of mad dog.. Think people Think

Gay Priest, No No?

Who'd a thunk it?? Well the Vatican has rightfully come out(excuse the pun) saying that gays "with deep seated" homosexual tendencies cannot be priests. But for those of you who are on the edge, don't worry if you can go three whole years without a gay thought you can be a priest too!

So here are my questions: Since homosexuality is against God's will, how does a homosexual say they want to be a Priest and actually want to be a Priest? Are some still trying to make a correlation between homosexuals and pedophiles? Do some homosexuals join the Priesthood just to avoid the gay lifestyle? Is a gay priest ban a surprise? How long will it take for the ACLU to raise holy heck?

We can be quite sure that this will cause an uproar in the gay community but I can't help but wonder why. I also wonder why the Vatican had to come out with a document stating this. Has affirmative action reached the heights of the Vatican? 1 in 4 priests must be gay or else..

Will It Happen?

I heard a rumor on Friday. Let me stress that I am only repeating what I was told, and have done absolutely no research on this. The point of this entry is only to hear what your thoughts on this are....

Someone came to me last week and stated they had met someone in the technology industry. They stated that this person was "possibly"working on a sex offender chip. The story goes like this: This "chip" would be given as an option to convicted sex offenders. The option possibly being less prison or parole time in exchange for allowing this chip to be inserted around the collar bone. This chip would allow the justice system to know where the offender is at all times and also to monitor heart rate. The monitoring of heart rate would be used as a guide to send someone to make sure the offender isn't " offending".

As my regular visitors are aware I am a zero tolerant person of sex offenders. I am mixed on this possible new system and would love to hear your thoughts..

In All Reality

I am almost addicted to reality shows. Almost..... I watch Amazing Race, Big Brother and Apprentice faithfully. I love to catch the nanny shows (any of them will do) I love Extreme Home Makeover, it makes me cry every flippin time. I even catch the occasional Real World episode here and there. I know most of you think differently now, but I can't help it. I do have limits, I refused to watch Temptation Island, Who's Your Daddy and even a few others. I wonder how far networks will take the reality show craze? I am fearful that it is a "If you create it they will come", situation. I have hope though. I believe reality shows to us now, what talk shows were to many in the 90's. Thankfully that will mean they will eventually die off. Until then what should we expect to see in the future?

Fatty Fat Fatster

We have all seen the video's of skinny people throwing on a fat suit. The "experiment" is to see how people treat fat people. My question is what do people who really are fat think about this? They can tell us how they are treated, it doesn't take a skinny person to do that. This morning on the Today Show they had a beautiful model in a fat suit. She told what it was like to be fat. What it is like? Does she know now after being in a fat suit for a day or two, what it is like to be fat? Isn't there more to it than the reactions of a couple of people? Seems like an insult to me.

City Of The Crosses

Don't you just get tired of the nonsense sometimes? Don't you just feel like people are arguing just to argue? I mean really. I came across a story tonight about a small town I will be driving through next week, Las Cruces, New Mexico. Las Cruces translates to "The Crosses" in our wonderful English language. Well I'm sure you can guess whats coming next. Some of you will say, its about time others will say what the crap. I am one to say what the CRAP!! Some lame butt folks are bothered by the logo of the town. The logo represents the name of the town and has a couple crosses surrounded by a sun. I know that's horrid isn't it!?! Yes some citizens want the logo changed to something that doesn't represent Christianity. Get a friggin life people... unless your vampires it is not going to hurt you. I am tired of the fight to suppress Christianity all the while fighting to free every other group. In this case, over what? If you don't like it move. Perhaps they need to use the crosses in the logo so that any illiterate people crossing city limits know where they are? Its not a new thing, its not like some evangelistic Christian came into the pic and said change your logo to a couple of crosses. This is a logo that represents the history of the city its self. You don't cross into the town and all of a sudden feel the power of God beat into you. Pick your battles people. You should be worried about some real issues hitting our Country, if you need an example I have plenty.

Into the Future

Is this a look into the future of the couple from yesterdays story?

November 15, 2005

Bets anyone??

So this weekend I catch this story about a 14 year old who was abducted after her parents were killed. I thought to myself hmmmmm.... Wonder what the story behind this is? This poor girl was kidnapped, horrid.

Then they catch the jerk who killed the parents. Who is it you ask. Well of course it is her 17 year old boyfriend. Ah well that makes perfect sense. Cute little innocent blonde girl her boyfriend a rebel. We all know the story right?? Ok maybe not that story. But would anyone like to wager on whether or not this poor girl had something to do with this Natural Born Killers moment? I can hear it now "Its my parents fault, see I was homeschooled" "Ok it was the internets fault, we had myspaces" "No?, that doesn't work either?" "Well it was his fault he is older and told me he would love me forever" Oh the angst of a teenager.

Let's all pray that this little girl did not have a part in her parents deaths. What a horrible thing to have to worry about as a parent. "Mom can I go out with Snake?" "NO" "BANG!" Is it possible the days of just sneaking out of the house are over??? Let this be a lesson to all you pre-teen girlies out there, when your parents say he is trouble they may be right... Now go to bed!

Who's your daddy?

How many of you have met the man/woman of your dreams, then realized in a matter of months they were anything but? We have all probably not only gone through that once but several times. So what happens when you throw children into that equation? Sally is a single mom, she meets a guy and thinks he could be the one. Within weeks he is spending the night, spending the week, and slowly moving in becoming a make shift daddy. The kids love him and think he is the coolest then mom all of a sudden realizes he isn't. So there he goes. Sally meets another guy and repeats the whole situation over and over again, desperate to find a new dad for the kids. What she doesn't understand is that these kids have had so many "dads for a month" they are completely over it. They finally realize that not only should they stop forming these relationships with guy of the week but also that their mom (how should we say??) changes men more often then she does the laundry.. Mom maybe just trying to find happiness for herself but has she forgotten that she has kids at home? Let's not forget this goes both ways moms and dads. When you find yourself back in the dating scene as a single parent are there rules? Shouldn't you really be sure that this new relationship is the real thing before subjecting your children to numerous fill in parents? Do children suddenly become not so important when you are bar hopping? I know some single parents whose kids have gone through relationship after relationship with their parents, only to suffer more and more. Should you give up your love life? No, you should however put a little more thought into when the right time is to bring them onto the scene. You keep bringing home partner after partner then you wonder why when you do get married and bring in a real step parent your kids don't form that parent/child bond. Way to be a roll model.. just what you want your daughter bringing home a different guy everyday and your son knocking up multiple girls. Yeah I know that may be stretching it.. but don't be shocked. Children are supposed to be the most important thing in a parents life when does that change? I mean unless you can get childsupport out of all these parental temps, whats the point?

Thanks to all

I would like to apologize for my lack of entries last week. I am finally starting to feel better. Due to my lack of entries, an important holiday was neglected, but only neglected on the blog. On Friday a coworker who is a veteran came in to the office. I of course said Happy Veterans Day and thanked him for serving our country. Later on that day I was involved in a conversation with the same man and our boss. The veteran stated that the only time we remember our military our at war times and Veterans Day. I was sorry to hear that he felt this way but realized he was probably right. That holds true for a lot of things, we should try and remember all those important to us all the time, not just certain times of the year.

THE LAW IS THE LAW

So if the US government determines that it is against the law for the words
"under God" to be on our money, then, so be it.

And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be
used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.

And since they already have prohibited any prayer in the schools, on which they
deem their authority, then so be it.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are
in positions to make good decisions. I would like to think that those people
have the American Publics' best interests at heart.

BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot Post His Commandments
in Government buildings, I don't believe the Government and it's employees
should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God
that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life. I'd like
my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter

After all, it's just another day. I'd like the US Supreme Court to be in session
on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays. After all,
it's just another day.

I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about
getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government
offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't
cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a
government that is trying to be "politically correct."

In fact.... I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set
aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it
should be just another day.... What do you all think???? If this idea gets to
enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the minority
opinions and begin, once again, to represent the 'majority' of ALL of the
American people.

SO BE IT........... Please Dear Lord, Give us the help needed to keep you in our
country! Amen' and 'Amen' These are definitely things I never thought about but
from now on, I will be sure to questions those, in government, who support these
changes.

Ms. Jones

Ms. Jones wishes to apologize for her lack of entries the past two days. Her head is about to explode from sinus' or a brain cloud.. As you can imagine a head explosion could possibly turn her into a liberal so she will take it easy for at least another day.. She will however, be subjecting herself to more pain this evening with her 2nd session for her tattoo removal. For those of you interested in the process there will be an entry at www.spaces.msn.com/members/officelife tomorrow. There is also info from the first session there as well. Thanks for your patience.

What Riots?

Our friend Kitka asked me this morning what I knew about the riots in France. Embarrassingly I answered well I know that there are riots in France. Wow... How is that possible? France is on their twelfth night of mayhem. So I did what I should have done the first time I heard about the riots, read the news story. So France is dealing with burning of cars and people.. over protest of the police. Evidently 2 teenage boys from Africa were electrocuted after jumping a high voltage fence. (hmmm) So of course there are 3 sides to this story. The first story is that police were chasing the boys(for no reason I am sure). That story is the story the rioters tell. The second story is that the police did not chase the boys. Then of course there is the truth, that surely lies somewhere in between the first two stories. So now 12 days later the city of Paris is in utter disarray. What a shame..

So then Kitka mentioned how odd it was that there is such a huge thing happening, and it doesn't seem to be making so much news here in North America. I thought perhaps it was because those French butts wrote us off and so we also pay them no mind. I mean perhaps it is due to our current uneasy relationship with France. Then again it evidently isn't making to much news in Canada either, and well we all know those two countries have a friends with benefits relationship. So, why is it that something as big as this isn't taking over our televisions?

Kitka, then asked what I thought would happen if this (cops chase after 2 black kids, ultimately chasing them to their deaths) happened in the US. I responded that our continent would burn to the ground. She disagreed. So I ask you guys two things 1. Why don't we care if Paris destroys itself with riots? and 2. What would happen if 2 African kids were electrocuted in the US, after police allegedly chased them? Oh ok three things 3. Who bails out France after this not so natural disaster?

Hello, Kettle?

This week we have reestablished that two liberal heroes are hypocrites. Surprise!??!! We learned this week(thanks to Peter Schweizer) that democratic jester Michael Moore, has lotsa money invested in corporate stocks including Halliburton. Stocks he claimed in his ever popular fictional mocumentaries, I mean documentaries, he didn't have. Ah well we all knew he was full of it.. You cannot come out against something so critically while you have things like this to hide. So you say what about you Ms. Jones? We have already established that I believe in God and the Bible, but live with my boyfriend, I have seen porn, watch rated R movies and have even had some "work" done. Talk about hypocrisy right?? Not quite but keep digging if you like....

Then we have King Lush Kennedy.. what a joke this guy is.. I am quite sure that the only reason he has held his political position for so long is just for entertainment purposes only. He is that one guy you need to have around to spike the punch at that lame party. Mr. Kennedy has come out to say that the White House is full of scandal.AhhhKopechnechoo, excuse me, these darn allergies.. Say the White House is full of scandal, what White House, sadly hasn't been. However, when a man whose life is drowning in scandal(excuse the pun) comes out to say the White House has scandal, all you can do is laugh. The democratic party needs a better spokesman if they want to be taken seriously. A man who hiccups between sentences and has so many skeletons in his closet his house is sure to be featured in Americas Haunted Houses, should pour another drink and let someone else speak. On the other hand maybe you and Moore should keep spewing nonsense, its comical and it reinforces what we already knew, how the libs are full of nonsense and hypocrisy.

Explaination

I don't know who wrote this but I have seen it a few times. The credit is not mine. I thought I would share it with you all since my last entry lead to a discussion on taxes.

This is a Very simple way to understand the tax laws.

Lets put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand. Suppose that every day ten men go out for dinner. The bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this.

The first four men-the poorest-would pay nothing; the fifth would pay $1, the sixth would pay $3, the seventh $7, the eighth $12, the ninth $18, and the tenth man –the richest- would pay $59.

That’s what they decided to do. The ten men ate dinner in the restaurant every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement- until one day, the owner threw them a curve (a tax cut).

Since you are all such good customers, I am going to reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20. So now the cost would be $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes. The first four men were unaffected. They would still eat for free. But what about the other six- the paying customers? How could they divvy up the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his “fair share”?

The six men realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everyone’s share the fifth man and the sixth man would end up being PAID to eat their meal. So the restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each mans bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

So the fifth man paid nothing, the sixth pitched in $2, the seventh paid $5, the eighth paid $9, the ninth paid $12, leaving the tenth man with a bill of $52 instead of his earlier $59. Each of the six was better off than before and the first four continued to eat for free.

Once outside the restaurant the men began to compare their savings. I only got a dollar out of the $20, declared the sixth man but he, pointing to the tenth. But he got $7, Yeah that’s right, exclaimed the fifth man, I only saved a dollar too, its unfair that he got seven time more than me!

That’s true shouted the seventh man, Why should he get back $7 when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks! Wait a minute! Yelled the first four men, We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor.

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up. The next night he didn’t show up for dinner, so the nine sat down and ate without him. But when it came to pay the bill they discovered a little late what was very important. They were FIFTY TWO DOLLARS short of paying the bill..

One for the books

I just walked down the street about three blocks to a bank. As I was walking back from the bank my two bosses and another man were standing across the street. My two bosses in business suits and the other man called me over. I crossed the street to join them. They were looking back across the street at a building. So the four of us stood there staring at the building and a man stopped in front of us. He appeared to be a homeless man. There are often a few homeless people walking the streets of our small downtown. As he was standing in front of us he fumbled through his wallet. The wallet appeared to be pretty empty. He dropped it a few times and I looked over to one of my bosses and whispered "he wants to buy me". The man continued searching his wallet then turned to me with a dollar in his hand. He placed the dollar in a cup I was holding in my right hand along with a folder and said " I know its not much but its all I have".......

Ms. Jones is finally getting on the ball and will be adding links on the site. I apologize for taking so long to do so.. If you have any suggestions for links that I may want to add please let me know.

Another Judge Another Story

In recent weeks we have asked ourselves and others some serious questions concerning judges and their beliefs. We have debated with each other on whether or not a judge can put aside their religious beliefs, or even if they should, to hold such a position. The one issue we haven't asked is what if the judges beliefs are illegal?

A judge from a small town is pleading his case in front of the Utah State Supreme Court. The judge in question has his own religious beliefs. Some want him removed from his judicial position due to those beliefs. I can't blame them. So why is this judge different from the judges I have defended for having religious beliefs?

Well this judge believes he should be allowed to have more than one wife. Not only does he believe it but he does it. Judge Steed in fact has three wives. Having more that one wife as most of you know is illegal. So I say either remove and arrest this guy for breaking the law he is sworn to uphold or remove him and put him in the State Hospital. The guy has got to be crazy to be married to three women!

Boys vs Girls

A Middle School in Colorado is trying a segregated learning style. Roncalli Middle school is taking a group of its students and separating the boys from the girls. Did we just go back in time here? The theory is that if you separate the genders they can learn better. Hmmmm may have a point. Lets think about it, take your selves back to junior high or middle school. What was your focus? I would say back then some of the focus was on learning, more of the focus was on social status. Ok so separate them out then what do we have.. My guess, is unless the group that you have separated are all school minded people, is that you are still have social status issues. When was the last time you saw a group of girls in a room who 1 all got a long and 2 didn't try to impress each other. Same with the boys. Interesting experiment... we will keep our eyes on it.

Just Say No to Alito!

Well not much time has passed since President Bush nominated a new person as Supreme Court Justice. Already without missing a step people are coming out against the nomination. Coincidentally not long has passed since Rosa Parks, passed away and already she is being exploited. Both the NAACP and Jesse Jackson are asking if this is what Rosa Parks would want. Are you serious?

Then of course we have those claiming that the newly nominated Alito helped out the Mafia. So are you saying just because Alito is Italian he has ties to the Mafia?? Shame on you! The OSOI may have something to say about that.

Finally and my favorite, we have my old pals at the ACLU.. They of course also have a problem with Judge Alito. Goes back to a court case dealing with women's rights. Yes see remember women are one of the few groups the ACLU defends, as opposed to Men, who if not criminals or minorities are EVIL.. (Are Italians considered minorities?) The ACLU website states they are questioning Alito for several reasons including

For example, in Planned Parenthood v. Casey, Judge Alito voted to uphold a state law that required women to notify their husbands before having an abortion.

The nerve of that man!! After all we know that a man should have no say in what a woman decides to do with their baby, oh wait I mean HER baby.. Don't worry though if that doesn't help you say No to Alito, "In the coming weeks, the ACLU will prepare a complete report on Judge Alito’s civil liberties record".
Sounds like this guy may be a winner to me! But then again WWRPD?

Back to Highscool

What a mess! This seemingly high school type shenanigans between the dems and the republicans regarding Valerie Plame, makes my head spin. Libby has been indicted and thus resigned from his political position. Rove is in deep doo doo and now they are claiming Cheney will be as well. So let me get this right, If we listen to the story the dems are telling... Bobby said something bad about Rick, so Ricks pal Lance told a secret about Bobby's chick,Suzie! Then someone wrote Suzie's name on the bathroom wall. So now Lance and his buddies, are sent to the principals office, they have to leave to football team, and because Suzies secret is now out she is off the cheerleading squad. Now everyone may get suspended and be grounded for like life!!!

Ok I know this is more serious that but doesn't it bring you back to those days? I really find it hard to believe that Vals name would be outed over her husband bashing the current administration. Perhaps a left wing conspiracy???? Shall it really turn out that anyone in the admin really outed Ms. Val, they should be prosecuted. If Cheney is actually involved he should be included in the punishment as well. President Bush will have to give them all the boot. I know we are talking about politicians here, and things seem to get pretty childish at times but I find it hard to believe that is the story though, sorry guys.. If it is will she should have told her hubby not to say mean things about our President.. Didn't anyone tell him not to mess with the cool kids?
